I climbed with Joe for years in Squamish and as a matter of fact he was the first climber I met when I moved there in 1979
We had many an adventure from Rick climbing to mountaineering to hiking
He will be sorely missed, and I know there’s a 5.11 crux somewhere he’s trying to figure out right now
My condolences to the family

Joe was a good friend and a great guy. We shared many wonderful times together, climbing, birding, and hiking. I pulled him out of retirement to come work with me, I know he forgave me. I think of him often. Rest in Peace, Joe.
Your friend, Marc
My condolences to friends and family.
