Dearest Kath,
We became immediate friends the day you snuck up behind me at Muskoka Sands and started massaging my shoulders — complete strangers! I adored your laugh and your zest for life. I could listen for hours to your stories of love, and travel, and freedom. You rescued my soul. I furnished your apartment. I hated when things fell apart after a lifetime of friendship and love, but never stopped caring, remembering, or thinking of you. So deeply saddened to see today you’ve moved on. I looked for you often over the last 12 years. Will cherish all the pictures of you, the lipstick kiss covered letters I’ve hung on to, and the beautiful memories of you xo
Oh Kathy…I remember the first time I saw you…at a women’s expo in Lumby, 2011 I do believe! You were standing in the White Valley community hall singing all by yourself…at that moment I wanted to know you! You were so alive, friendly, loving and accepting! Your creativity was over the top but you never realized how super amazingly wonderful of a person you were.
Thank you so much for being my friend!!! I regret your absence in my life and now…you’re gone, but will never be forgotten! ❤️❤️❤️
Kath, your laughter and love will remain in our hearts forever. I look up at the star blanket deep in the night and see you there, twinkling like the star you are. What a gal you were. Creative. Strong. Passionate. That’s you singing in the early morning light. Turning the pages of our books as we read in the late afternoon sun. You loved forever, and you are forever loved. Trude.
Katheryn, your love and laughter will be missed more than words can say. We have shared tears of joy and sorrow over so many decades and I will cherish and share our memories forever.
