July 7, 1948 – September 13, 2024
at the age of 76 years:
It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving Mom, Grandma and GG on September 13, 2024.
Dianne is survived by her four children, Corinne, Terrance (Vickie), Patrick (Dawna), Deborah (Adian); 5 grandchildren, Darien (Jessi), Dawson, Triston (Faith) Logan (Kaitlyn) and Shaylah. Great Grandchildren Oaklee and Leo. Also, her sister Gail (Mike) Kaczowka.
Dianne was born on July 7th, 1948 in Prince Albert, SK where she grew up and met the love of her life, Larry and were married on January 30, 1965.
After Larry made a trip to deliver a load of grain to the Shuswap, he fell in love with Salmon Arm and the surrounding area and made the decision to relocate with Dianne and the kids in 1977. Dianne worked for Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Dietary for 25 years until her retirement.
After Larry’s retirement, they soon became snowbirds, escaping the cold winter months of the Shuswap to Parker, Arizona where they quickly made many new friends. When they came back to Salmon Arm for the summer, they were park hosts at Herlad Provincial Park for 2 summers. Unfortunately, they were unable to go back to Parker for the winter due to Larry getting sick and passing away in early 2018.
Dianne loved watching her grandkids play sports. You could always hear her loudly cheering from the stands at her grandson’s hockey games and granddaughter’s ringette games or the bleachers at baseball games. She loved the outdoors, being with friends, playing cards and the unconditional love of her Bichon puppy Halo. She was an amazing cook and everyone looked forward to her home made cabbage rolls and borscht.
Dianne’s infectious laugh and bright smile will be missed by all who knew her.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Parkview Place, Vince and Tammy Fischer of Fischer’s Funeral home and all our family and friends for all your love and support through this difficult time.
There was a private, graveside interment of Mom and Dad at the Shuswap Memorial Gardens on November 8th, 2024.
I met both Larry and Dianne through Hockey with her grandkids. Then worked with them at herald park. They both had great stories. I also loved playing cards. They were both so inviting and loved thier family. Thinking of the both of them so regularly.
Dianne was an amazing, sweet lady. A part of our family, she is dearly missed ❤️
I worked with Diane for years in the dietary at SLGH. She always had such a wonderful sense of humour and a great work ethic. We had a good laugh together the last time we met. Was very sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to the family.

Our thoughts are with Diane’s family. We remember her robust laughter! She was a great neighbour back in the 80’s.
