Coley, Eunice Victoria (Lindstrom)

April 23, 1936 – Jan 17, 2024
at the age of 87 years:

Eunice passed away early Wednesday morning 17 January, 2024 at the acreage in Sicamous, BC after living in the lovely rural setting for 27 years, after a short battle with bowel cancer. Family was with her as she wished.

Eunice was born in a snowstorm 23 April,1936 in Meeting Creek, Alberta. She came in during a snowstorm and she left during a snowstorm.  She came from a large farming family with 4 brothers and 2  sisters.  She was active child, life not boring on the farm.

Married 10 December,1955 to Albert Coley for 59 years and had 5 children.  They moved around a bit, Edmonton, Calgary, Stettler, Port Coquitlam then retiring to Sicamous. That was close enough to the city for them.  Mom worked at CIBC- Kingsway and Knight, Vancouver in 1968, quickly being promoted to Mortgage Officer. Transferred to CIBC Calgary in 1979, working as Personal Banker, then Commercial Lending until retiring in 1996 to Sicamous. Predeceased by husband Albert, son Albert Marlon, parents Seth and Ragnhild, brothers Gust (Linda),Fred (Jean), Tore (Marilyn), Donald (Fern),
Sister Louise (Don), sister in law Joyce (Fritz), George and Mamie Coley.  She had many little dogs that she loved, most recently Simon, who she lost in November.  She is survived by 4 children Pam (Craig), Cindy (Terry), Kathy, Martin, 4 grandchildren Dale, Jennifer(Philip), Matthew, Shawna(Tyler) and 1 great-granddaughter Aila, sister Janet(Ken), sister-in-law Rosie(Bob), brothers-in-law Leroy(Alma), George(Jolene), Dennis(Carol), Darrell (Donna)plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to the spectacular palliative care team that helped us keep mom at home until she passed especially Erica, Daniella, Carmen, Jennifer and Dr Nieman. The support was perfect.

Being at home until the end was the last gift, for the hardest final journey.  No service by request- any donations can be made to any animal welfare group.
